About the Role:
We're looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join Jolt's content team and shape our organic social presence across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and X for a US-based audience. You'll create engaging, shareable content—writing captions, scripts, and posts while collaborating with video editors and designers. The role involves researching industry trends, brainstorming creative ideas, and maintaining high-quality output. You'll work closely with the founder to define Jolt's voice and day-to-day communication. This position offers strong ownership, where your work directly impacts brand awareness and perception.
What You'll Do:
- Own Jolt's organic social strategy, content calendar, and execution across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and X
- Reels and TikTok scripts and captions, written for ambitious US men aged 22 to 30.
- Create X posts and threads aligned with Jolt's voice (productivity, focus, tech & creator culture)
- Brief video editors on hooks, pacing, and overall content direction
- Brief designers on static and motion creatives for social media
- Research industry trends, audience behaviour, competitors, and relevant topics
- Monitor daily trends on Reels and TikTok and adapt them into timely content
- Ensure consistency in tone, quality, style, and brand voice across all platforms
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and design teams on campaigns and growth strategies
- Track and report organic performance with clear insights and actionable recommendations
What makes you stand out:

- You have worked on a consumer mobile app, ideally in productivity, focus, wellness, fitness, or a similar lifestyle category. You understand how mobile users are acquired and retained.
- You have written for a US audience and can show the work. This could be a US-facing brand account you have run, a creator you have ghostwritten for, a viral X post, or a TikTok that performed.
- You follow US TikTok regularly. You stay on top of trending audio. You have written hooks that generated views, on your own account or for a brand.
- You have built a personal account from zero to a meaningful following on Reels, TikTok, or X.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in social media, marketing communications, or content roles. Experience at a B2C consumer brand or a fast-paced startup is preferred.
- A strong portfolio of social work across Reels, TikTok, and X, with US-facing examples.
- Strong fluency in short-form social copy and short-form video script logic. You can brief an editor clearly.
- Daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude as part of your workflow.
- Working comfort with native platform analytics and the ability to draw clear conclusions from performance data.
- Good understanding of Digital Marketing, SEO, GSO, and WordPress.
