What you'll do:
1. End to End Video Production:
- Oversee the entire video production process, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.
- Produce a variety of video content, including:
- How to videos for customer support and success.
- Short live action and animated videos for marketing campaigns.
- Thought-leadership videos featuring industry insights and product features.
2. Content Strategy & Ideation:
- Work with marketing, product, and customer success teams to develop a video content that supports business goals.
- Come up with cool and creative ideas for video content.
3. Scriptwriting & Direction:
- Write, edit and punch up video scripts for various types of video content.
- Manage filming (when necessary) & video editing to make sure the final product is the best it can be.
4. Team & Vendor Management:
- Work closely with in house video editors, content writers, stakeholders, freelancers, and external vendors.
- Ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and meet quality expectations.
5. On Camera Presence:
- Act as a video host for thought-leadership videos, directly addressing the camera to discuss product features, industry trends, and best practices.
- Record and produce Loom style product walkthrough videos as a talking head, providing clear and engaging demonstrations of software features.
6. Performance Optimization:
- Monitor video performance metrics (views, engagement, conversions) and use insights to refine content strategy.
- Stay up to date with video trends, tools, and best practices to ensure content remains fresh and effective.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing with a significant focus on video production, especially for software or SaaS products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of video content, including how-to videos, marketing videos, and thought-leadership content.
- Visual storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a broad audience.
- Experience managing in-house teams, freelancers, and vendors.
- On camera experience and comfort hosting videos as well as familiarity with video editing tools are needed.
