Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Senior Content Manager to lead content development initiatives that support SEO, AI search visibility, brand authority, demand generation, and customer engagement across our Search Rank Platform (SRP) and Experience Management Platform (XMP).
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong editorial instincts with deep knowledge of SEO, AI-driven search trends, content operations, and performance marketing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, collaborative, and capable of managing content initiatives across multiple channels and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with company growth goals, SEO priorities, AI search visibility, and product marketing initiatives.
- Identify target audiences, customer pain points, industry trends, and high-value keyword opportunities.
- Build content programs that support awareness, engagement, lead generation, customer retention, and thought leadership.
- Help shape messaging frameworks and editorial standards across the organization.
SEO & AI Search Optimization
- Create and optimize content for traditional search engines as well as emerging AI search platforms and generative search experiences.
- Partner closely with SEO and growth teams on keyword strategy, topical authority, internal linking, structured content, and search performance initiatives.
- Ensure all content follows SEO best practices and is optimized for discoverability, readability, and conversion.
- Stay informed on evolving AI search trends, algorithm changes, and content optimization strategies.
Editorial Strategy & Topical Authority
- Develop pillar content and topic cluster strategies that strengthen topical authority and improve organic search visibility.
- Build scalable blog and resource center strategies aligned to priority keywords, customer journeys, and AI search trends.
- Create interconnected content ecosystems through internal linking, supporting content, and semantic topic coverage.
- Identify content gaps and expansion opportunities to improve rankings, discoverability, and thought leadership positioning.
Content Creation & Management
- Produce and manage high-quality content including:
- Blog posts
- Landing pages
- Case studies
- Whitepapers
- Customer stories
- Email campaigns
- Website copy
- Social content
- Product and feature messaging
- Edit and QA content to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and brand alignment.
- Collaborate with designers, product marketers, and subject matter experts to create compelling multimedia and campaign content.
Content Operations & Project Management
- Own and manage the editorial calendar to ensure consistent publishing cadence and cross-functional visibility.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish scalable content production processes and governance standards.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze content performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, HubSpot, and social analytics platforms.
- Report on key metrics including organic traffic, engagement, rankings, conversions, pipeline influence, and ROI.
- Use data and insights to continuously improve content effectiveness and search visibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product marketing, growth, SEO, demand generation, customer success, sales, and leadership teams to support company initiatives.
- Translate product capabilities and industry trends into customer-focused storytelling and educational content.
- Support internal enablement by ensuring teams have access to relevant content resources.
Industry Awareness & Innovation
- Stay current on content marketing trends, SEO developments, AI search evolution, and emerging digital content formats.
- Identify opportunities to experiment with new content channels, distribution strategies, and AI-assisted content workflows.
Qualifications
Experience
- 6–10+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, SEO content, or digital marketing roles.
- Proven experience building and scaling B2B SaaS content programs.
- Experience creating content optimized for both SEO and AI-driven search experiences preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating impactful content across multiple formats and channels.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred.
Skills
- Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword strategy, and content optimization.
- Familiarity with AI search trends, generative search experiences, and content discoverability best practices.
- Experience with CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret data and make data-driven content decisions.
- Experience working with distributed or global teams is a plus.
