Job Description

Pocket FM is the world's largest audio-series platform, where powerful stories travel effortlessly across languages, cultures, and continents.

With a community of 250+ million listeners, 300,000+ creators, and 100,000+ audio series, we are redefining how stories are created and experienced without screens.

As an AI-powered entertainment company with a human-first philosophy, we use proprietary AI tools to amplify creativity, helping stories scale globally while preserving emotional depth and cultural integrity.

Operating at massive global scale with a startup mindset, we move fast, think boldly, and build for long-term impact.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Script Editor who lives for story- someone whose instinct is to fix a broken narrative arc before being asked, and whose feedback makes writers better. At Pocket FM, you will be the editorial backbone of our audio fiction pipeline, responsible for the quality of scripts that reach millions of listeners.

You will do deep, hands-on script editing while also leading a small team of content reviewers- setting the quality bar, calibrating their assessments, and building the editorial muscle of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, evaluate, and edit scripts across audio series, episodic, and long-form formats- covering plot, structure, character arcs, pacing, and listener engagement hooks
  • Lead and guide a team of 3-4 content reviewers- reviewing their feedback, calibrating quality standards, and helping them develop their editorial eye
  • Provide detailed, actionable script feedback directly to creative teams- clear, specific, and constructive
  • Set and maintain editorial standards across the content pipeline, ensuring consistency in review quality and depth
  • Identify what makes Pocket FM's top-performing audio stories work and translate those patterns into guidelines the team can apply
  • Collaborate closely with writers through multiple drafts, from structural overhaul to final polish
  • Maintain structured documentation of script analyses, editorial decisions, and recommendations

Who you are:

  • 2+ years of experience in script editing, content review, editorial, or publishing- with a strong portfolio of written feedback
  • Deep grounding in narrative structure, storytelling craft, and genre conventions- particularly in serialised or episodic formats
  • Background in Literature, Creative Writing, Mass Communication, or a related field
  • Some experience guiding or mentoring junior reviewers or writers- formal management not required
  • Comfortable working at pace across multiple scripts and deadlines without losing editorial rigour
