Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Developer to create high-quality technical documentation, learning content, and training materials that enable customers, partners, and internal teams to successfully adopt and utilize the client's ERP platform.
This role combines technical writing, instructional design, and content strategy to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging learning experiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop user documentation, training courses, assessments, and knowledge resources that align with product releases and business objectives.
The successful candidate will also leverage AI-assisted content development tools to improve productivity while ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation
- Develop, maintain, and update product documentation for designated functional areas of the client's ERP platform.
- Produce clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation that adheres to established style guides, documentation standards, and content development processes.
- Revise and modernize legacy documentation to align with current product capabilities and best practices.
- Ensure documentation remains accurate and current with every software release.
Learning & Training Development
- Design and develop instructor-led and self-paced training materials, e-learning content, assessments, and certification resources.
- Create learning experiences tailored to different user personas, including customers, partners, consultants, and internal teams.
- Update training content to reflect product enhancements and new feature releases.
- Develop practical exercises and assessments to reinforce learning outcomes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, QA, and Subject Matter Experts to identify user scenarios, knowledge gaps, and documentation requirements.
- Review product UI labels, messages, and workflows to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability.
- Support users by resolving documentation and training-related queries and recommending content improvements.
- Participate in product reviews and release readiness activities.
Content Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Utilize AI-assisted writing and productivity tools to support drafting, editing, restructuring, summarization, and content reviews while maintaining editorial quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation standards, templates, workflows, and content development practices.
- Support documentation governance activities, including content reviews, incoming documentation requests, and release planning.
- Help maintain documentation repositories, version control, and team collaboration environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, content development, or documentation within the software industry.
- Experience developing documentation and training content for ERP platforms or enterprise software products.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted writing, editing, research, or productivity tools to support technical content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand user documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP solutions or enterprise business applications.
- Domain expertise in industries such as Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Construction, Professional Services, or Financial Management.
- Previous experience in training delivery, instructional design, or curriculum development.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and product release processes.
