Senior Consultant / Team Lead - US shift

Key Deliverables:

• Prepare technical specifications, develop, review code, and conduct unit testing for ABAP developments.
• Optimize custom-developed programs to reduce resource utilization and improve runtime efficiency.
• Provide technical documentation for ABAP developments, including functional requirements, specifications, and updates.
• Assist in migration activities such as hot packs, version upgrades, and other system enhancements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for knowledge management and support bug-fix requests within agreed timelines.
• Develop and maintain ABAP objects, including CDS Views, OData services, and SAP interfaces.
• Collaborate with functional teams to assess operational and quality-related issues, close gaps, and manage error trend analysis.
• Propose and implement ABAP performance improvements and tune ABAP objects for optimal performance.
• Support business implementations by sharing best practices and providing troubleshooting expertise for SAP functionality.

Role Responsibilities:

• Set up development guidelines and methodologies for ABAP developments and coordinate with the remote development team.
• Provide technical guidance, bug fixes, and support for ABAP objects, including interactive reporting, SAP Scripts, Smartforms, and BAPIs.
• Work with functional teams to identify and address gaps, improve processes, and ensure SAP functionality is aligned with business needs.
• Lead the development of SAP technical solutions to ensure successful migration, system upgrades, and integration.
• Communicate effectively with clients and manage customer expectations to avoid escalations.
• Collaborate with SAP functional specialists and share knowledge to ensure smooth development and implementation processes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve SAP ABAP processes, ensuring performance tuning and effective technical problem-solving.
• Monitor and assess SAP OSS notes for relevance to ABAP operations and ensure efficient operation of the SAP environment.
• Work proactively to manage client requirements and align ABAP development with organizational goals.
