Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant Project Management to join our Mining & Metals practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across the mining value chain. This role involves working closely with clients to deliver strategic projects, optimize operations, and ensure sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for mining and metals engagements, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Partner with clients to design and implement strategies that improve operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Develop project charters, risk management frameworks, and governance structures tailored to mining operations.
Provide subject matter expertise on mining processes, supply chain, and capital project delivery.
Facilitate stakeholder communication, including executive reporting and client presentations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of digital tools in mining project management.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge development within the practice.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
812 years of experience in project management within the mining and metals industry.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale capital projects or operational improvement programs.
Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety standards, and regulatory frameworks.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in dynamic, global environments and travel as required.
BGV:
