Role Purpose:
To deliver high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in alignment with evidence-based protocols and the AyurVAID model of healing. The Primary Physician (PP) is responsible for ensuring safety, efficacy, and consistency in clinical outcomes, while contributing to financial and operational excellence. The role also entails personal development through research and knowledge-building activities.
Responsibilities:
Operational / Clinical Excellence
- Ensure high standards of patient safety by minimizing and reporting all safety incidents, including patient falls.
- Avoid non-formulary drug usage unless clinically justified.
- Deliver consistent treatment outcomes, with a focus on achieving at least a 2-point average improvement in PROM (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures).
- Maintain full compliance with consultation and treatment protocols, as evaluated through regular evidence-based audits (sample size of 10).
- Promote clinical excellence that results in a higher percentage of new patients coming through patient referrals.
- Reduce churn rate of new patients by ensuring a strong patient engagement and quality of care throughout the treatment journey.
- Stakeholder Excellence
- Drive consistent patient satisfaction outcomes across parameters including Consultation Satisfaction, Treatment effectiveness and Physician experience.
Team Excellence
- Mentor and develop junior clinicians to take on roles as Primary Physicians (PP) or Associate Primary Physicians (APP).
- Conduct regular internal training sessions for clinicians and caregivers, aligned with the AyurVAID Clinician Training Framework.
- Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the medical team, ensuring continuous upskilling and performance improvement.
Self Development
- Contribute to clinical knowledge-building by developing and documenting high-impact case studies.
- Actively participate in clinical trials that align with AyurVAID's research and development goals.
- Engage regularly with the Vaidyas Group to stay aligned with evolving clinical practices.
- Present clinical findings, case studies, or research at recognized clinical conferences.
- Contribute to the creation or development of new clinical areas within the organization to expand therapeutic offerings.
Financial Excellence
- Ensure accuracy in patient qualification across NFT/NFI classification, appropriate quadrant placement, and treatment duration assessment.
- Conduct structured counselor briefings in the presence of the patient, covering TSD, NFI/NFT justification, and expected clinical outcomes.
- Increase the percentage of NFT/NFI patients who progress to stage [3,3], through effective treatment planning and patient communication.
- Identify and flag all NFM (Not Financially Mature) patients for relevant interventions such as Wellbeing Support, Long-Term Care (LT), or High Medical Priority (HMP) programs.
Requirements:
- BAMS, MD (Kayachikitsa / Panchakarma) or equivalent in AYUSH/Allopathic system of medicine (as per organization focus)
- Minimum 5+ Years of Experience post MD.
- Prior experience in clinical practice and in integrative or evidence-based care settings
- Strong commitment to clinical protocols, patient outcomes, and ethical practices
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
