Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Consultant Pathologist to lead diagnostic services, ensure high-quality reporting, and contribute to clinical decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in laboratory diagnostics, team leadership, and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, interpret, and validate laboratory test results (hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, histopathology, cytology, etc.)
- Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports to clinicians
- Oversee daily laboratory operations and ensure adherence to protocols
- Maintain and enforce quality control and assurance standards (NABL/ISO compliance)
- Guide and mentor junior pathologists, technicians, and lab staff
- Collaborate with clinicians for case discussions and clinical correlation
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of lab records
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance/calibration
- Stay updated with advancements in pathology and diagnostic techniques
- Participate in audits, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance
