About the Role

The Senior Consultant - Enterprise Architecture leads the analysis and optimization of the enterprise IT landscape and plays a key role in managing and evolving LeanIX as the enterprise architecture repository. This role supports strategic IT and digital transformation initiatives by providing architecture insights, preparing decision‑ready deliverables, and ensuring a consistent EA framework across the organization. The Senior Consultant drives the development and alignment of architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps, evaluates the application portfolio, and manages LeanIX governance and data quality. Beyond technical expertise, this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to convey complex concepts through storytelling, solid stakeholder‑management capabilities, and the ability to connect details to the broader enterprise picture. The Senior Consultant may also lead small teams or workstreams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Application Portfolio Evaluations (e.g., T.I.M.E.) and recommend actionable optimization measures.
  • Engage proactively with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and shape the LeanIX implementation roadmap.
  • Define, refine, and govern the LeanIX data model across the EA and IT community.
  • Establish and manage a data quality and data governance framework for LeanIX.
  • Provide architecture deliverables, insights, and repository assets to strategic IT initiatives and transformation programs.
  • Prepare and facilitate architecture decisions, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technical design.
  • Drive the definition and evolution of architecture principles, standards, and strategic roadmaps.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, coordinate work packages, and ensure delivery quality.
  • Communicate architectural impacts and insights clearly through storytelling, visualizations, and executive‑ready communication.
  • Ensure alignment with broader enterprise objectives by maintaining a strong big‑picture orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Completed higher education in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to present, simplify, and narrate complex architectural concepts.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Required Skills:

  • 7–8 years of professional experience in enterprise architecture, architecture consulting, or architecture delivery roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with LeanIX, application portfolio management, and EA governance.
  • Experience in the Pharma, Life Sciences, or Healthcare industries is preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex matrix environments, including global collaboration and multi‑time zone coordination.
  • Good stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience leading teams or workstreams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and standards (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Solid knowledge of architecture design patterns across all layers.
  • High proficiency in LeanIX.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, SAFe Architect, ADKAR, PMP or PRINCE2 are a plus.
  • Broad understanding of emerging technologies (AI, ML, IoT, cloud, blockchain) and their strategic impact.
  • Ability to link technical details with business context for effective executive communication.
