Job Description

Role Summary Senior-level scheduling role responsible for end-to-end batch operations, scheduling strategy, automation, and incident management across enterprise mainframe environments. Requires deep expertise in ESP and Stonebranch schedulers, strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Qualifications Experience

  • 8+ years in mainframe batch scheduling and production support
  • Strong hands-on experience in ESP Workload Automation and Stonebranch
  • Experience handling complex job streams, dependencies, and critical batch cycles
  • Exposure to incident management, SLA handling, and root cause analysis (RCA) Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage end-to-end batch cycles across ESP and Stonebranch
  • Handle critical job failures, ABEND analysis, and complex restarts
  • Manage job dependencies, scheduling conflicts, and priority adjustments
  • Ensure batch SLA adherence and proactively identify risks
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions
  • Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual effort
  • Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors
  • Manage incident lifecycle including escalation and stakeholder communication
  • Support new job onboarding, scheduling design, and migration activities
  • Maintain and enhance runbooks, SOPs, and documentation
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to L1/L2 teams
