The Senior Consultant – 5G Core & Telecom Testing will lead and execute end‑to‑end functional, protocol, performance, and automation testing for telecom‑grade core network solutions. This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Landslide Spirent for 5G core validation, deep telecom domain knowledge across 2G/3G/4G/5G technologies, and experience in automation, protocol simulation, and cloud‑native environments. The consultant will work closely with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure carrier‑grade performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead hands‑on 5G Core testing using Landslide Spirent, including scenario modeling, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Design, review, and execute functional, regression, load, stress, and performance testing for telecom core applications.
- Develop and maintain test scripts and manage interfacing and integration testing with network elements.
- Validate telecom call flows and signaling protocols across 2G/3G/4G/5G, VoIP, and VoWi‑Fi networks.
- Perform protocol‑level validation for HLR, HSS, UDM, EIR, MALS, vMMSC, vSMSC, LMS, NLS, aligned with 3GPP standards.
- Build and enhance test automation using Python, Shell scripting, and ROBOT Framework.
- Use JMeter, SIPp, call‑flow simulators, and related tools for signaling, load, and performance testing.
- Create and manage test environments, test plans, execution strategies, and KPI‑driven reporting dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams for defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and resolution.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices, process improvements, and automation strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in telecom‑grade software application validation and quality assurance.
- Minimum 4–5 years of hands‑on experience with Landslide Spirent, specifically for 5G Core testing.
- Strong understanding of core network architectures, call flows, and signaling across 2G/3G/4G/5G.
- Solid experience with VoIP and VoWi‑Fi domains.
- Proven expertise in Python, Shell scripting, and ROBOT automation frameworks.
- Hands‑on exposure to load, stress, and performance testing methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of Cloud, Virtualized, and Cloud‑Native environments, including:
