Job Description

Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Company Name: RNT Health Insights Private Limited

On-site from our office in Chandigarh IT Park (Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park), Chandigarh

About Us

We have got meandate to hire for this startup who are building AI-powered clinical intelligence for the next generation of endoscopy. Their real-time decision-support technology helps gastroenterologists identify early-stage gastric and esophageal cancers during routine procedures, turning medical imaging into actionable insight at the point of care.

The need is urgent. Gastrointestinal cancers account for roughly one in four cancer cases and one in three cancer deaths worldwide, and most patients are diagnosed only once symptoms appear, often at advanced stages. Yet when these cancers are caught early, five-year survival can rise from around 20% to as high as 90%. We exist to close that gap.

Our work has earned the trust of regulators and the wider med-tech ecosystem. We hold two U.S. FDA Breakthrough Device Designations (for our early gastric and esophageal cancer detection tools), are ISO 13485:2016 certified by BSI, and have been granted a CDSCO test license in India. We are proud to be incubated and supported by leading programs including Pfizer INDovation, Social Alpha, WTFund, NVIDIA Inception, MedTech Innovator, IIT Kanpur SIIC, and PGIMER, among others.

Role Overview

As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will help lead the research, design, and deployment of the spatiotemporal algorithms at the heart of our diagnostic platform for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. You will set technical direction, mentor other engineers, and own your areas of the system end to end, from research through to reliable performance in clinical settings. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of AI researchers, gastroenterologists, software engineers, and regulatory experts to advance both the accuracy and the real-time responsiveness of our technology, and to help shape how we build as we grow.

What You'll Do

As a senior member of the team, you will own your areas end to end and help guide and mentor others, taking work from research direction through to deployment.

Algorithm & Model Development

  • Lead the research, prototyping, and development of spatial and spatiotemporal models for lesion detection and tracking.
  • Set the direction for model architecture and preprocessing strategy, establishing approaches and standards the team can build on.

Integration & Deployment

  • Own the path from trained models to reliable, low-latency deployment on our clinical platform.
  • Partner with software engineers to bring research-grade models into a robust production pipeline, and help define the practices that keep deployments dependable and maintainable.

Performance Benchmarking & Optimization

  • Benchmark model performance for accuracy, speed, and robustness against clinical data.
  • Drive optimization so that models meet the demands of real-time use in resource-constrained clinical environments.

Regulatory Compliance & Collaboration

  • Work alongside our regulatory and QA teams to align algorithm development and validation with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews and risk assessments, and contribute to the technical documentation that supports audits.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on AI or computer vision.
  • Substantial, hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping computer-vision and deep-learning systems, including taking models from research into production.
  • Solid command of computer-vision fundamentals (image processing, feature extraction, neural architectures) and strong proficiency with modern deep-learning frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing and optimizing real-time inference pipelines.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership: mentoring engineers, leading projects or teams, and setting the standards others work to.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders around a shared direction.
  • An ownership mindset and the comfort with ambiguity needed to thrive in a fast-paced startup.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with medical imaging or regulated software (FDA, CDSCO, ISO 13485).
  • Familiarity with real-time or low-latency video systems and edge deployment.
  • Experience helping grow a team, function, or hiring pipeline.

Why You'll Love Working with Us

  • Competitive compensation (we aim to match or exceed industry standards).
  • Ship work that directly improves early cancer detection and saves lives.
  • Real ownership: shape the technical direction of a breakthrough-designated product, not just a single feature.
  • Work alongside leading clinicians and AI researchers in a fast-paced startup.
  • Gain hands-on experience at the frontier of AI and medical-device technology.
  • Flexible work hours and a supportive, mission-driven culture.
