FatakPay is financial wellness platform revolutionizing access to financial tools such as credit, insurance, investment in digital gold/silver, credit cards and more, by providing fast, transparent, and hassle-free financial solutions. The Company has a fully owned subsidiary - FDPL Finance Pvt Ltd - an RBI-registered Base Layer NBFC providing digital personal loans. We are regulated under RBI's Scale-Based Regulation framework and operate under the Digital Lending Directions 2025, DPDPA 2023, ORMF Guidance, and related frameworks.

We are building the compliance function for the next phase of our growth. This role is for someone who can take ownership of the compliance function.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Senior Compliance Officer.

The role involves:

  • Overseeing and managing compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The Senior Compliance Officer will develop and implement policies, conduct regular audits, and provide guidance to teams on compliance processes.
  • Translate regulatory frameworks into internal process changes across product, tech, credit, operations, and collections
  • Build a compliance program from current-state to inspection-readiness — policies, testing cycles, monitoring, escalation
  • Act as the organisation's early-warning system on regulatory developments and their operational implications
  • Own end-to-end compliance with RBI's Digital Lending Directions 2025 — map each obligation to a process owner, track remediation, and maintain an up-to-date compliance matrix
  • Monitor and interpret new RBI circulars, Master Directions, and supervisory guidance; assess operational and product impact on FatakPay and drive internal process changes accordingly
  • Lead preparation for and management of RBI on-site and off-site inspections
  • Draft, maintain, and operationalise compliance policies — Fair Practices Code, Grievance Redressal, Digital Lending KFS, LSP oversight policy, DPDPA privacy framework, ORMF-aligned risk policy
  • Manage the annual compliance risk assessment process
  • Design and deliver compliance training across the organisation; build a compliance-aware culture

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-8 years of compliance experience, with minimum 3 years mandatory experience in NBFC or digital lending fintech
  • Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance
  • Analytical Skills to assess and manage potential compliance risks
  • Exceptional Communication skills for relaying complex legal and regulatory information clearly
  • Knowledge and experience in Finance, especially in FinTech or related industries
  • Ability to manage projects, develop policies, and conduct compliance trainings
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Educational qualification: CA/LLB/CS with regulatory specialisation and and experience as a compliance officer
