Job Summary
The Zonal Compliance & Regulatory Manager will be responsible for end-to-end compliance management across delivery hubs, dark stores, and warehouses. The role requires strong expertise in regulatory licensing, inspection handling, and stakeholder management across pharma and non-pharma domains. The candidate should be adept at navigating regulatory frameworks, managing government relationships, and ensuring seamless business operations through proactive compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage end-to-end procurement, renewal, and maintenance of all licenses including Drug Licenses, FSSAI, Trade License, Shop & Establishment, Health Trade Licenses, Labour registrations, and other statutory approvals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws such as Drugs & Cosmetics Act, FSSAI regulations, Shop & Establishment Act, Contract Labour laws, and local municipal requirements.
- Maintain a centralized repository and tracking system for all licenses and approvals.
- Monitor regulatory updates and drive timely implementation across operations.
2. Audit & Compliance Management
- Conduct periodic audits across stores and warehouses to identify compliance gaps.
- Drive closure of non-compliances through structured CAPAs.
- Prepare audit reports and ensure documentation readiness for inspections.
3. Regulatory Liaison & Inspection Handling
- Act as the single point of contact for Drug Inspectors, FSSAI, Municipal and other regulatory authorities.
- Handle inspections, notices, and regulatory queries effectively.
- Draft and submit representations, responses, and compliance documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory authorities.
4. Operations & Governance
- Ensure compliance with storage, handling, and operational standards across pharma and non-pharma categories.
- Work closely with Operations, Legal, HR, and Facilities teams to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Support business expansion by enabling faster and compliant licensing.
5. Process & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement SOPs and compliance frameworks.
- Identify systemic gaps and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce regulatory risk.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams on compliance requirements.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in regulatory compliance (pharma + retail/warehouse ecosystem preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of:
Drugs & Cosmetics Act
FSSAI Regulations
Shop & Establishment Act, Trade & Health Licenses
Labour and local municipal compliances
- Experience in handling regulatory inspections and government stakeholders
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced operations
