Job Title: Senior Commercial Credit Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst with strong end-to-end experience in financial spreading, commercial credit analysis, and covenant monitoring to support a leading U.S. Banking Client. The role will involve analyzing borrower financial statements, spreading financials, calculating and interpreting credit ratios, monitoring financial covenants, and supporting ongoing credit risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end financial spreading of borrower financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
Analyze borrower financial performance, trends, liquidity, profitability, leverage, and debt servicing capacity.
Calculate and interpret key commercial lending ratios.
Identify covenant breaches, exceptions, deteriorating financial trends, and potential credit risks.
Review loan agreements and credit approval terms to understand financial covenants, thresholds, reporting requirements, and testing frequency.

Required Skills & Experience

7–12 years of experience in Commercial Credit Analysis, Financial Analysis, Credit Underwriting, or Commercial Lending.
Strong end-to-end financial spreading experience.
Hands-on experience with commercial loan covenant monitoring.
Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Excellent knowledge of coverage, leverage, profitability, and liquidity ratios.
Experience analyzing borrower financial performance and creditworthiness.
Strong understanding of commercial lending and credit risk processes.
U.S. Commercial Banking / U.S. Commercial Lending experience is mandatory.
Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting U.S. Commercial Banking / Middle Market / Corporate Lending portfolios.
Experience with financial spreading and covenant monitoring platforms.
Knowledge of LoanIQ, Moody's Credit Lens, AFS, or similar commercial lending/credit platforms.
Experience handling annual reviews, loan renewals, covenant exceptions, and credit risk reporting.
