Senior Coding Specialist

1). Review Inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for dignoses and procedures and assigns POA indicators correctly

2). Thorough understanding and application of medical necessity, DRGs, APGs and APRs for processing claims.

• Review and analyze trauma patient records in the inpatient department
• Assign accurate ICD codes and DRG grouping for trauma cases
• Ensure proper documentation for injuries, procedures, and treatments
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for missing or unclear information
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and coding guidelines
• Handle audits and ensure error-free billing for trauma cases
• Generate reports related to trauma admissions and outcomes
