About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers with 7+ years of professional engineering experience to join a short-term project focused on evaluating and improving AI-generated code for Large Language Models (LLMs).

This is NOT a traditional software testing or manual QA role. The position requires strong software development expertise, code review capabilities, debugging skills, and the ability to evaluate code against real-world production engineering standards.

The selected candidates will analyze AI-generated code, identify functional and architectural issues, improve implementations, and provide clear technical feedback to help enhance AI coding performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate AI-generated code across different programming languages and software engineering scenarios.

Assess code for correctness, security, performance, scalability, readability, and maintainability.

Identify bugs, logical errors, edge-case failures, and architectural weaknesses.

Debug complex codebases and perform root-cause analysis.

Review feature implementations, bug fixes, refactoring, API integrations, and database operations.

Compare alternative implementations and recommend the most effective solutions.

Rewrite and optimize code to produce reliable, production-quality reference solutions.

Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, modular architecture, error handling, and reusable components.

Provide clear, structured technical explanations for code defects and recommended improvements.

Develop evaluation criteria, technical annotations, and rubrics for code-quality assessment.

Collaborate with engineering and research teams to improve AI coding evaluation methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, Go, C#, Ruby, PHP, or Rust.

Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, debugging, and reviewing production-grade software.

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, and application architecture.

Expertise in clean code principles, modular design, abstraction, error handling, and maintainable software development.

Ability to identify functional, performance, security, and design issues in complex codebases.

Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and root-cause analysis skills.

Experience with code reviews, Git, version control, and collaborative development workflows.

Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases and assess the impact of code changes.

Excellent written English and the ability to communicate technical feedback clearly.

Eligibility & Availability:

Candidates must be available for at least 8 hours daily and 40 hours per week.

Must be able to work from 6:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.

Must maintain a minimum 4-hour overlap with PST working hours.

Immediate availability is preferred.

Selection Process

AI Interview: Approximately 20 minutes.

Delivery Interview: Approximately 45–60 minutes.

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate practical coding knowledge, debugging ability, code review skills, software design judgment, and the ability to evaluate AI-generated implementations.
