Job Brief

We are seeking for an experienced and well connectedSenior Coal Trader to be based in India and/ Dubai who is strong in Selling/Trading all kind of Carbon Products (Metallurgical Coal/Anthracite/PCI/Met Coke/Coking Coal, Pet Coke) worldwide to off takers, Mills, Traders etc.

Job Description

Responsible for PNL of Coal and Coke Trading Desk for our Global Trade.

Sourcing and Selling Coal and Coke to Traders, End users, Mills on CFR, FOB Sales basis.

Close monitoring and tracking of the market, market movements.

Close monitoring of Coal/coke movements worldwide, VariousTrades /Deals taking place-who are the Buyers and Sellers, its deal prices etc..

Keeping Tab on world movements of Coal and coke and Production of Coal and Coke

Maximizing the commercial value and profitability of each transaction.

Statistics on worldwide coal/coke, trades/deals/shipments, price movements, trading/shipping operations, freight movements, economical & political movements, etc.

Contract/Sales Negotiation, Sound knowledge in INCOTERMS & Contractual requirements of a region and cargo wise, JV's, COA, etc.

Sound knowledge of payment instruments such as Foreign DLC, FCR, warehouse receipts, CAD/DP, CMA etc.

Take part in trading and hedging strategies, conferences, Trade Shows, exhibitions etc.

Establish and build strong relationships with all stakeholders, ensure the achievement of agreement between Companies with customers and assist to manage customer relationships.

Knowledge of CMA, pledge, collateral management.

Strong experience in shipping & logistics, Port logistics, foreign currency transaction.

Having strong international trade experiences of over 15 years.

Candidate Requirement

One who is having a close connections and strong relationship with End users, Mills, Traders, Producers, Purchase Managers and Mining companies.

Strong Negotiators, level-headed, and one who can close Deals independently and cover last mile negotiation.

Should be able to structure the Deal independently.

Having Very strong on Freight numbers, one who can work freight to the advantage in supply chain in CFR sales and bring value addition to the Deal,

Having a strong knowledge in Contracts, dispute Resolution, dispute resolving and settlement

Strong Technical/Chemical/Physical knowledge of coal and coke and its's properties, it's applications.

Having Wide network of Buyers and Sellers, Mining companies,

Having good contact with Owners, Operators, Port, CHA , Inspection Agencies, Labs, Insurance companies.

Detailed knowledge of coal industry, shippingand Logistics, , etc.

A go-getter and self-starter with desire to excel and has an open mind-set.

Should have in depth knowledge of Bills of Lading, switch BLS, CP,FCR WHR, Trading Markets etc.

Qualification Required

Bachelor's and post graduate Degree in relevant Discipline

Minimum 20 years of International experience in Coal/Coke Trading.

Widley travelled internationally to meet Buyers/Sellers/ Mining companies/Producers and Mills

Well attended Coal Conferences.
