Job Description
Senior Cloud SRE/DevOps Engineer (VP) – IB Tech & CRM/Analytics | Pune, India
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud SRE/DevOps Engineer (VP level) accountable for the design, delivery, and operational excellence of the CI/CD, cloud, and platform engineering ecosystem. This role combines deep hands‑on technical expertise with architectural ownership, governance awareness, and strong cross‑functional leadership.
The role will be responsible for enabling fast, safe, and repeatable delivery to production, while reducing operational risk, eliminating manual dependencies, and establishing scalable DevOps standards across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Platform, Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) using infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Own container platforms and runtime environments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Define environment standards across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Architect and maintain enterprise‑grade CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise).
- Ensure atomic deployments, controlled promotions, and deterministic rollbacks.
- Define image/artifact retention strategies and version management.
- Reduce build and deployment complexity through automation and standardization.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting standards (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OTel).
- Embed DevSecOps practices into pipelines (secrets mgmt, image scanning, least privilege).
- Lead incident response collaboration, root cause analysis, and post‑incident remediation.
- Define and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, and architectural standards.
- Simplify approval models and workflows to balance speed with control.
- Ensure solutions meet audit, compliance, and enterprise risk expectations.
