Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database and Cloud Administrator (IC3/IC4) to support customers across Oracle Database, Engineered Systems, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Database technologies deployed on Engineered Systems such as Exadata, along with experience managing databases in OCI and multicloud architectures. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in RAC, ASM, high availability, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and lifecycle management, including database installation, upgrades, migrations, patching, and cloud-based deployments across hybrid and multicloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Engineered Systems, and multicloud environments, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and issue resolution.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle Cloud and Engineered Systems deployments, including database migrations, upgrades, and patching in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver proactive guidance on OCI, multicloud architectures, and AI-enabled Oracle solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge artifacts to support cloud and engineered systems operations.
- Participate in 24x7 operational support rotations to ensure continuous availability of critical Oracle cloud and engineered systems.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues across cloud, multicloud, and AI-enabled Oracle environments, ensuring high-quality and timely solutions.
- Communicate technical findings, architectural guidance, and recommendations effectively to both technical and business stakeholders, with a focus on Oracle Cloud and AI-driven innovations.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
- 6+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Engineered Systems, or Database Administration.
- Hands-on expertise with OCI services, Autonomous Database, ZDLRA, GoldenGate, and AI-enabled Oracle solutions.
- Strong skills in performance tuning, high availability, and troubleshooting for cloud and multicloud environments.
- Experience in customer engagement, advisory, and cloud deployment support.
- Willingness to work in night shifts / US timings.
- Ability to work from office as required.
Good-to-Have:
- Experience with Engineered Systems (Exadata X8/X9M/X10M), database migration, upgrade, and patching in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of OCI cloud services, Autonomous Database, cloud migration strategies, and multicloud architectures.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in BE, BTech, MCA, or equivalent.
