Job Title: Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Location: Bangalore

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Role

Unilever's modern technology strategy focuses on accelerated digital transformation, AI-driven value creation, sustainability, and a Product-Centric operating model. The Cloud Platform Services (CPS) organisation plays a key role in enabling this strategy by delivering secure, scalable, automated, and cost‑efficient cloud platforms across our major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) platforms. The Senior Cloud Solution Architect guides platform modernisation, AI‑ready architectures, FinOps maturity, automation expansion, and adoption of Unilever's new operating framework built around product lines and value streams.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Global Digital Technology and partners to guide our customers on their cloud journey, listening and understanding their business requirement and helping design or advise them on the most appropriate cloud architecture for them. You will work closely work with our delivery partners and leading technology partners to ensure that systems are built to Unilevers exacting standards for security and availability ensuring that the Solution Architectures created satisfy customer's requirements.

Main Accountabilities

  • Partner with Cloud Services Engagement (CSE) teams and Product Line Owners to design cloudnative, AIenabled architectures aligned to Unilever's technology strategy and modern operating framework.

  • Drive adoption of reusable cloud patterns, platform accelerators, automation frameworks, and bestpractice landing zones supporting Unilever's productbased delivery model.

  • Lead technical discovery and valueidentification workshops with senior stakeholders across UniOps, Markets, and Platform teams to shape modernisation roadmaps.

  • Ensure architectures align to securitybydesign, FinOps, automation principles, resilience engineering, and responsible AI practices.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Teams, and Enterprise Architecture to translate business outcomes into cloud service capabilities and multiyear roadmaps.

  • Coach teams on cloud adoption, AI enablement, and modern engineering standards contribute to capability building across CPS and wider UniOps.

Key Skills and Relevant Experience

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts to senior business and technology stakeholders.

  • Deep understanding of cloudnative architecture, AI Hosting considerations, automation, security, and FinOps operating principles.

  • Demonstrated experience influencing technology strategy across technology teams, geographies, and crossfunctional groups.

  • Strong customercentric mindset and ability to identify business value through cloud solutions.

  • Proven ability to lead crossfunctional engagements and align technical outcomes to enterpriselevel frameworks and strategies.

  • 5+ years as a Cloud Advisor or Senior Architect working with major CSPs (GCP, Azure).

Minimum qualifications:

  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ305)

  • Architecture and Governance certifications (ITIL, CISSP, TOGAF beneficial)

  • Experience with Agile, DevOps, modern engineering tooling (GitHub, CI/CD, IaC, JIRA)

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience of using JIRA and other agile design toolsets, including any appropriate Agile methodology certifications (e.g. Scrum)
