World Wide Technology is looking for Senior Cloud Platform Engineer. This role is part of WWT's Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT's preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

This is a contract Role & we use a global payroll partner to manage payroll for all contract opportunities with us. A proper background verification of past employments, criminal checks would be done for onboarding to any opportunity with WWT.

9:30 AM – 1:00 PM (ist)

11:00 PM – 2:30 AM (central US)

Second Shift (Overlap)

7:00 PM – 11:00 PM (ist)

8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (central US)

We are looking for a senior Cloud Platform Engineer who has directly designed, built, and operated production AWS infrastructure—especially Amazon EKS. This is not a CI/CDonly or support role; we need a plugandplay engineer who can contribute immediately to a largescale, multiregion AWS/Kubernetes platform supporting AI/ML workloads across dev, integration, and production environments.

MustHave Skills & Experience (NonNegotiable)

1. Infrastructure as Code (Primary: Pulumi + TypeScript)

• Pulumi with TypeScript (preferred and strongly prioritized)
• OR strong Terraform experience plus demonstrated TypeScript expertise, with ability to migrate IaC to Pulumi
• Understanding of declarative IaC, resource graphs, state management, and multienvironment promotions

2. AWS (Production, 3–5 years minimum)

• Handson with AWS core: EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, SQS, SSM Parameter Store
• EKS cluster operations: upgrades, nodegroups, IRSA, networking, scaling
• Experience owning and operating production workloads (not just support)

3. Kubernetes (Production, 3+ years)

• Strong operational experience with EKS
• Familiarity with networking components such as Cilium, Istio, or Envoy Gateway
• Cluster autoscaling: Karpenter preferred (or Cluster Autoscaler with ability to ramp to Karpenter)
• Docker multistage builds, image optimization, and registry management

4. CI/CD

• GitHub Actions (Required):OIDC authentication to AWS Reusable workflows Multienvironment promotion and approvals Deployment strategies (rolling, blue/green)

5. Observability

• Metrics: Prometheus (required)
• Dashboards: Grafana
• Logs: Loki (preferred; or strong logging experience with ability to ramp)
• Tracing: Tempo/OpenTelemetry (preferred)

6. Security & Platform Hygiene

• AWS IAM: least privilege, IRSA, access boundaries
• Secrets management via SSM Parameter Store / Secrets Manager
• Container/image scanning familiarity (e.g., Trivy, Grype)
• Encryption in transit & at rest

7. Scripting & Tools

• TypeScript and/or Python
• Linux/Bash proficiency
• Git workflows, branching strategies, PR reviews

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently and ramp quickly
• Strong written communication (async environment)
• Comfortable with documentation, RFCs, and codereview culture.
