Senior Cloud Engineer

About the Role-

Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing cloud platform services to support scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions, detailing key responsibilities in cloud platform governance, deployment enablement, FinOps and cost optimization.We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to lead the design, governance, and optimization of cloud platform services that enable scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Platform Governance
• Design and enforce cloud platform boundaries that support enterprise-scale cloud-native applications and services with SRE mindset.
• Define standardized workflows and intake processes for evaluating, prioritizing, and onboarding new platform demands.
• Develop reference workflows, design patterns, and best practices for cloud-native deployments intake for Operations team.
• Ensure platform capabilities align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and operational objectives.
• Cloud Native Deployment Enablement
• Architect scalable deployment frameworks leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Collaborate with application teams to accelerate adoption of cloud-native services and deployment models.
• Provide architectural guidance on modernization, automation, resiliency, and service reliability.
• Establish deployment guardrails and governance controls to ensure consistency across cloud environments.
• Cloud FinOps & Cost Optimization
• Partner with Office of CIO, Application Teams, and Product teams to advocate IFF Cloud FinOps practices.
• Define cloud cost management strategies, budgets, tagging standards, chargeback/showback models, and resource optimization frameworks.

Qualifications

• B.Tech with 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or enterprise infrastructure architecture.
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures using containers, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
• Experience implementing FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Required Skills

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Architect or equivalent cloud certification.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Professional certification.
• Experience with enterprise platform engineering and developer self-service platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud observability, monitoring, and platform operations tools.
• Experience supporting multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
