Your role and responsibilities:

Senior Cloud Backend Developer - Power Train Digital Applications

Our IoT solutions are market-leading for monitoring motors, rotating machines, drives and systems that power industries, buildings, infrastructure and utilities. As we scale our platform capabilities and accelerate feature delivery, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Backend Developer to play a pivotal role in our engineering organization.

If you thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and bring deep technical expertise paired with strong leadership instincts, you could be a key contributor to our globally distributed agile team of 30+ developers, product owners and architects - driving high-quality, scalable IoT solutions.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Service Division in Bangalore India.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively contribute to the design and architecture of product features in close collaboration with architects, product owners and fellow developers.

  • Deliver high-quality, maintainable code and establish best practices for unit and component testing across the team.

  • Own the end-to-end verification and deployment of features, ensuring alignment with agile processes and release standards.

  • Take a proactive role in triaging and resolving production issues, engaging with product stakeholders to gather feedback and drive root cause resolution.

  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including architecture decisions, design patterns and API references.

  • Serve as a bridge across teams and geographies, facilitating technical alignment and cross-border collaboration.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives - identifying process gaps, proposing solutions and driving adoption across the team.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated expertise with 10+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 6 years of deep, hands-on expertise in C#/.NET projects.

  • Proven ability to architect and deliver complex, distributed backend systems at scale with Strong command of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), task-based programming, LINQ, and asynchronous patterns.

  • Extensive experience designing and building microservices-based architectures in cloud-native environments.

  • Proficient in unit and component testing using xUnit, NUnit or equivalent frameworks advocates for and enforces test coverage standards.

  • Advanced working knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL systems (Cosmos DB, MongoDB or equivalent) - both are mandatory.

  • Expert-level proficiency in .NET Core and Web API development - mandatory.

  • Hands-on experience with MS Azure services - Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Hub, App Services, Key Vault, etc. - mandatory.

  • Strong command of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), infrastructure as code and release management.

  • Solid experience with web-based application development, including RESTful API design and integration patterns - mandatory.
