Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Role Objective

To design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP, ensuring high availability, security, governance compliance, and cost optimization. The role includes leading infrastructure modernization initiatives such as virtualization, hybrid cloud migration, identity integration, disaster recovery planning, and automation adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Architecture

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud environments in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Lead on-prem to cloud migration strategies.
• Architect hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
• Define landing zone architecture with governance controls.
• Implement high availability and multi-region resilience models.
• Optimize cloud spend through right-sizing and resource governance.

Virtualization & Data Center Management

• Manage VMware / Hyper-V environments.
• Configure clustering, HA, and live migration.
• Plan and implement disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Support infrastructure lifecycle modernization.

Identity & Security Architecture

• Design hybrid identity solutions (Azure AD Connect / federation).
• Implement MFA and Conditional Access policies.
• Configure RBAC across cloud platforms.
• Work with firewall and WAF configurations.
• Align infrastructure to ISO 27001 / SOC2 practices.
• Implement secure network segmentation models.

DevOps & Automation Enablement

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM / Bicep).
• Automate provisioning via PowerShell or scripting.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration (Azure DevOps / Git).
• Introduce monitoring and logging best practices.
• Collaborate with application teams for cloud-native deployments.

• Any Security certifications preferred 

Experience Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in infrastructure and cloud domains.
• Proven experience in hybrid cloud deployment.
• Hands-on exposure to virtualization and HA environments.
• Experience leading enterprise-level migration projects.
• Exposure to security governance and compliance frameworks.
• Architectural ownership beyond operational support.
• Multi-cloud expertise (Azure + AWS) aligned with market demand.
• Hybrid identity and HA experience reducing downtime risk.
• Security-integrated infrastructure design capability.
• Automation and DevOps enablement supporting operational efficiency.
