Summary of This Role
The EPM Applications Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and supporting Oracle Cloud EPM solutions across ARCS, FCCS, EPBCS, EDMCS, and Financial Reporting/Narrative Reporting. The role also includes building and maintaining Linux‑based EPM Automate automation frameworks to streamline data flows, integrations, and close processes.
What Part Will You Play
- 1. ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service)
. Configure and maintain Reconciliation Compliance and Transaction Matching.
. Build formats, profiles, rules, and matching logic.
. Support reconciliation cycles and troubleshoot preparer/approver issues.
. Automate ARCS data loads and mappings using Data Management/Data Integration.
. Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support SOX compliance.
2. FCCS (Financial Consolidation & Close Cloud Service)
. Configure consolidation rules, ownership structures, translation settings, and eliminations.
. Support month‑end close: data loads, consolidations, journals, and reporting.
. Maintain metadata (entities, accounts, ICP, custom dimensions).
. Troubleshoot consolidation issues and intercompany mismatches.
. Integrate FCCS with ERP, ARCS, EPBCS, and external systems.
3. EPBCS (Enterprise Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service)
. Manage data flows between EPBCS and ERP/FCCS.
4. Financial Reporting / Narrative Reporting
. Develop and maintain Financial Reports, Management Reports, and Narrative Reporting packages.
. Build pixel‑perfect P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and segment/entity reports.
. Automate report books, bursting, and scheduled distribution.
. Support audit and compliance reporting.
5. Linux EPM Automate Scripting & Data Flow Automation
. Build and maintain Linux‑based EPM Automate scripts to automate:. Data loads (ARCS, FCCS, EPBCS)
. Metadata loads
. Rule execution
. Snapshot backups
. File transfers (SFTP, secure file movement)
. Develop modular shell scripts using:. epmautomate login/uploadfile/downloadfile/runDataRule/importData/exportData/copySnapshot
. Parameterized variables for environments, credentials, and file paths
. Error handling, logging, and email notifications
. Integrate Linux scripts with ERP extracts, BIP reports, and external data sources.
. Troubleshoot automation failures, authentication issues, and data load errors.
. Maintain secure credential management and environment‑specific configurations.
Technical Skills
. Oracle EPM Cloud: ARCS, FCCS, EPBCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting/Financial Reporting.
. Data Management / Data Integration, mappings, and automation.
. Linux shell scripting, cron scheduling, and EPM Automate command sets.
. Smart View, Excel, REST APIs, and integration frameworks.
. Understanding of ERP structures (CoA, segments, ledgers).
. Ability to troubleshoot metadata, data load, consolidation, and calculation issues.
. SQL or scripting languages (nice to have).
Functional Skills
. Strong understanding of financial close, reconciliation, consolidation, metadata governance, and FP&A processes.
