Job Description: Senior Civil Tender Engineer (Interior Specialist)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and market-savvy Senior Civil Tender Engineer to lead our estimation and bidding department. This role is tailored for a professional deeply immersed in the Civil Interior Industry, with a sharp understanding of market dynamics and a proven ability to translate design intent into commercially successful bids.
As the Senior Tender Engineer, you will be the strategic link between design and execution, driving the acquisition of high-value contracts across Government (GeM, PWD, CPWD) and Private/Corporate sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Management: Oversee the complete bidding cycle, including pre-qualification, technical bid preparation, and financial submission.
- Civil Interior Expertise: Analyze BOQs for interior fit-outs (partitions, flooring, false ceilings, MEP integration, bespoke joinery).
- Precision Costing: Develop competitive rate analyses aligned with current market standards for labor, materials, and machinery.
- Vendor Liaison: Build and maintain a strong supplier and subcontractor network to secure cost-effective procurement rates.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure flawless statutory documentation (EMD, PBG, etc.) and seamless navigation of government portals.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate commercial risks within tender clauses during the pre-bid stage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in tendering and estimation within Civil Interior/Fit-out industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of finishing materials, construction techniques, and prevailing market rates.
- Government Portals: Expert proficiency in e-procurement systems and tender workflows.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel (complex costing sheets), AutoCAD (quantity take-offs), and ERP systems.
- Negotiation: Demonstrated success in vendor negotiations to optimize bid margins without compromising quality.
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
