Role Overview
We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background in Civil Engineering and proven experience working within a UK-based consultancy environment, particularly in water and wastewater projects. Experience in detailed design of non-infrastructure projects including concrete structures, steelwork, and masonry and underground structures etc.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
- Develop civil designs for water-sector assets, including concrete structures, steelwork, and masonry.
- Apply British Standards, Eurocodes, and relevant guidance to design pipes and structures.
- Produce clear and concise design sketches for integration into 3D models.
- Contribute to specifications, proposals, work scope, and project schedules.
- Participate in design development from feasibility studies to detailed designs.
- Prepare and review Design Risk Assessments, ensuring health and safety compliance in all stages of the design process.
- Support project management with preparation of Engineering Project Plans and liaising with stakeholders.
- Proactively suggest innovative processes and solutions to improve design efficiency and reduce carbon impact.
Technical Requirements
- Candidates should demonstrate:
- Drive excellence in Health and Safety in design by eliminating hazards and reducing risks during design whilst complying with Alliance CDM procedures.
- Production of civil designs, calculations and specifications for water-sector assets, design schedule and specify pipes, including ductile iron, steelwork and plastic.
- experience in structural calculations for water industry assets and familiarity with design software (TEDDS, Staad Pro, Autodesk Robot) will be an added advantage.
- Experience in civil engineering design for water systems, including pipework, ground engineering, and service reservoir design.
- Experience in BIM, digital tools, and innovation will be an advantage.

- Mentoring and supporting early-career engineers and technicians.
- Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Contribute towards strengthening collaboration and technical integration between the India and UK teams.
- Support initiatives focused on improving project delivery efficiency, knowledge sharing, and business growth within the UK Water team.
- Actively participate in developing best practices, improving workflows, and enhancing multidisciplinary coordination across global teams.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams to support long-term business objectives.
Working Arrangement
Candidates should be willing to work under our hybrid working policy, with an expectation of approximately 8–12 days per month from either our Bangalore or Gurgaon office locations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Mandatory:Minimum 6–7 years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
- Hands on Experience in Water or wastewater related project is must.
