CSA Senior Chemistry

Purpose of Role

To deliver high-quality Chemistry instruction at the senior secondary level, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, ensuring strong conceptual understanding, practical competence, and excellent performance in IGCSE and AS/A Level examinations.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Cambridge syllabus and assessment objectives.
  • Cover key areas including:
    • Physical Chemistry
    • Organic Chemistry
    • Inorganic Chemistry
    • Analytical Techniques
  • Integrate theory with practical applications and real-world examples.
  • Ensure timely syllabus completion.
Assessment & Examination Preparation

  • Prepare students for IGCSE and AS/A Level examinations.
  • Design structured assessments, mock exams, and revision plans.
  • Analyze student performance data and implement improvement strategies.
  • Provide remedial and enrichment sessions as required.

Laboratory & Practical Management

  • Conduct advanced Chemistry practical sessions as per Cambridge standards.
  • Guide students in laboratory techniques, titrations, qualitative analysis, and experimental design.
  • Ensure safe handling, storage, and maintenance of chemicals and equipment.

Student Development & Enrichment

  • Encourage analytical thinking and research-based learning.
  • Support participation in science fairs, Olympiads, and STEM initiatives.
  • Mentor students pursuing higher education in science, medicine, or engineering.
