Job Description
Senior Manager - Category Management
Responsibilities, aka, what we'd like you to deliver :
- Category Strategy & Growth: Own P&L outcomes, category margin targets, pricing strategy, and growth initiatives for the Cooking Essentials.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, inventory turnover, stockouts, and consumer buying trends to identify white space opportunities and optimize product assortment.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Lead negotiations with brands and suppliers for favorable trade terms, margin structures, joint business plans, and fill rates.
- Merchandising & Visibility: Drive on-app visibility, campaign placements, and promotional strategies in collaboration with the Performance Marketing team.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Tech, and Product to build scalable processes, minimize wastage, and optimize hyper-local inventory distribution.
- Analytical Capability: High proficiency in SQL, Advanced Excel, and data-driven decision-making. Comfort handling large-scale transactional datasets.
- Negotiation & Leadership: Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, P&L ownership, and cross-functional teams.
- Execution Focus: Bias for action and ability to thrive in a high-velocity, fast-paced environment.
Experience:
3–7 years of proven track record in category management, trade marketing, or key account management, specifically in Cooking Essentials or quick-commerce/e-commerce.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (MBA from a tier-1/tier-2 institute preferred).
