Your Impact

You will work with structured and unstructured data, integrating multiple data sources and building data pipelines or workflows required to support analytics and AI/GenAI applications.

You will support consulting teams and directly engage on client problem statements by combining financial services domain expertise with hands-on technology development, which will include shaping problem statements, identifying technology-enabled transformation opportunities, and contributing to solution design and delivery in Banking and Insurance contexts.

You will create client-ready outputs, including presentations, demos, and analytical models, and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and structured way to stakeholders. You will also contribute to internal product and capability building, including development of reusable tools, accelerators, and GenAI-enabled solutions that can be deployed across clients.

You will build AI- and tech-led solutions & leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to address client problems at scale. You will work on technology-led transformation initiatives, including data, digital, and GenAI-driven use cases.

You will work in McKinsey's Client Capabilities Network (CCN) within Panorama Financial Institutions Center (PFIC).

PFIC is one of the largest Knowledge and Expert consulting capabilities globally and part of the FIG practice, with 230+ members and a global footprint across 20+ locations, focusing on financial services domains, e.g., Retail banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management and Insurance. The Insurance team within PFIC also has a global multi country footprint across regions APAC, Americas and Europe.

Additionally, you will contribute as an active member of the global PFIC community, collaborating across teams and geographies to build knowledge, share best practices, and support the broader network.

There is flexibility to hire at a Specialist or Senior Analyst level, depending on your experience.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, financial services (Banking/Insurance), fintech/insurtech, or technology roles, with exposure to technology-led transformations
  • Strong understanding of Banking and/or Insurance domains, with ability to identify and shape technology-enabled transformation opportunities across areas such as underwriting, claims, risk, fraud, and customer journeys
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills, with ability to translate business problems into technology-enabled solutions
  • Professional attitude, service orientation, and ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to take ownership, build new tools or solutions from scratch, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments
  • Interest and experience in supporting internal product or capability building, including development of proprietary tools, assets, or accelerators
  • Strong interest in GenAI-driven transformations, including understanding of risks, governance, and best practices in financial services contexts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and create client-ready outputs
