The role of aSenior Business ManagerinNR Remittancesfocuses heavily on driving business growth, managing high-net-worth (HNW) non-resident (NR) client relationships, and ensuring efficient handling of domestic and international remittances. The position requires a blend of sales acumen, strategic planning, team leadership, and strict compliance with banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales:Achieve revenue, acquisition, and cross-selling targets for NR products such as current/savings/term deposits, mutual funds, insurance, investment services, and asset products.
- Relationship Management:Deepen and manage relationships with existing HNW NR customers to increase their wallet share, grow the book size, and ensure high client retention and engagement.
- Remittance & Forex Operations:Oversee the handling of inward and outward remittances, monitor transaction volumes, and ensure seamless execution of foreign exchange (Forex) transactions while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Team Leadership & Training:Lead, mentor, and train a team of relationship managers or elite bankers on NR products, processes, and sales strategies. This often involves managing teams across different global time zones.
- Process & Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to all internal and external regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies. Act as the primary point of contact for audits and compliance reviews for the business line.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting:Develop and implement strategic business plans to maximize market share, monitor financial performance, and provide insightful reports and analysis to senior management to aid decision-making.
- Customer Service:Oversee the resolution of customer queries and complaints, ensuring a high standard of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:A Bachelor's degree is generally required, with a postgraduate degree (MBA or related field) often preferred.
- Experience:This role requires significant experience (often 5+ years) in banking, financial services, relationship management, or a specific background in NR business.
