Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Position : Senior Analytics Lead/Developer (MicroStrategy)

Purpose of the Position :

MicroStrategy Senior Developer/Lead will be responsible for Designing, Developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions using MicroStrategy Platform. You must evaluate functional and technical business requirements and be able to transform them into conceptual/logical data models. You will be responsible for partnering with key business stakeholders to develop solutions that adhere to corporate architecture standards. To be successful in this role, one must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced agile environment and work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

1. MicroStrategy Solutioning and Architecture - Demonstrate strong knowledge of MicroStrategy architecture and components to design effective solutions.

2. Schema and Report Development- Create schema objects and develop complex reports using MicroStrategy Desktop and Web, including attributes, facts, logical tables, hierarchies, reports, metrics, filters, prompts, documents, and dashboards.

3. Database and SQL Management- Utilize expertise in SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures for data management and reporting.

4. Data Integration and SDLC Support- Ensure seamless data integration using Informatica and support the entire SDLC process, including code deployment to production.

5. Team Management- Lead and manage the team effectively, ensuring high performance and collaboration.

Essential Skills:

• Strong knowledge of MicroStrategy architecture and components for effective solutioning.
• Experience in creating schema objects (attributes, facts, logical tables, hierarchies) and public objects (reports, metrics, filters, prompts, documents, dashboards)
• Proficient in developing complex reports using MicroStrategy Desktop and Web, including templates, filters, prompts, consolidations, and custom groups.
• Experience with MicroStrategy Transaction Services and ensuring robust user security.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL, and writing stored procedures.
• Good understanding of data integration using Informatica and supporting the entire SDLC process, including code deployment to production.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of MicroStrategy report performance tuning and optimization techniques will act as value add
• Strong technical skills and thorough understanding of Data Warehouse Concepts
• Experience with Microsoft PowerQuery, PowerBI
• Well versed with the latest trends in analytics, business intelligence and data visualization

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods
• At least 7+ years of relevant experience; two years may be substituted for a master's degree
