Eka.care is a PHR app that helps users to store medical records & monitor health vitals. Eka care was founded in Nov'20 and has raised $15.0 Mn as part of their Series A funding in May'22. We are looking for a strategic and experienced Associate Director of Finance to join our team and drive financial excellence as we scale our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and long term vision.
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations, drive revenue growth and oversee financial management.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Design optimal business structuring from a legal and financial standpoint that best suits organisational interests.
2.Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and taxation.
- Ownership of P&L and drive various cost reduction measures. o Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Indian GAAP/IFRS.
- Implement robust financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
3. Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Oversee internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Implement and monitor compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Responsible for Legal, Secretarial and Compliance function.
4. Operational Efficiency and Cost Management:
- Monitor cash flow and burn and manage treasury operations including investments.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Drive automation and leverage technology to enable business.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for finance team members.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent advanced degree.
7-9 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and business partnering skills.
Proven track record of successfully leading financial strategies and operations.
Strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
Managing investor relations is a plus.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
