Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Business Development Managers

Function: Sales - Storage & Application

Reports to: Head - Business Development

Role overview / Principal Purpose

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales of our storage, backup, and management solutions within a defined territory by developing opportunities, managing the sales cycle, and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory business development strategies to expand our customer base for NetApp, Commvault, Veeam, BigFix, and related solutions.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and manage leads using networking, cold outreach, online research, and industry events.
  • Engage with customers to understand their business needs and challenges; present tailored solution value propositions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and technical teams to design solutions, prepare requirement documents and proposals, and support contract negotiations and deal closures.
  • Drive customer engagement, retention, and upsell opportunities through consultative selling.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities and opportunities in the company CRM.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer requirements to inform sales approach.
  • Travel as required to meet customers and attend industry events.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven consultative sales skills with strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the software sales cycle and solution selling.
  • Technical familiarity with Storage & Data Management (NetApp), Backup & Recovery (Commvault, Veeam), and Endpoint & Patch Management (BigFix) is highly desirable.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills, with strong business acumen and strategic account planning experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience & Qualification

  • 5-8 years of front-line sales experience, including at least 2 years with relevant product experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Management, or related field; MBA (Sales/Marketing) preferred.
