About Threatcop
Threatcop is a USA-headquartered, AI-powered People Security Management (PSM) company and sister concern of Kratikal. We help 900+ organisations across 30+ countries transform their employees from the weakest cybersecurity link into a resilient human firewall — through automated phishing simulations (TSAT), adaptive learning (TLMS), email threat protection (TDMARC), and incident response (TPIR).
Our proprietary A-A-P-E framework (Assess · Aware · Protect · Empower) is trusted by enterprises across BFSI, Healthcare, Telecom, Defence, and Critical Infrastructure — including Axis Bank, ONGC, NPCI, Tata Consumer Products, and Ministry of Finance.

The Role
We're looking for a battle-tested Senior Business Development Manager with a decade-plus track record in the cybersecurity industry, who has navigated the complexity of government sales, public-sector procurement, and competitive tender bidding. This is not a standard enterprise sales role — it demands someone who understands regulatory mandates, ministry IT roadmaps, and long-cycle relationship-based selling at the PSU, defence, and government level, while also driving a strong commercial enterprise pipeline.
What You'll Do
Revenue & Pipeline
- Own and exceed quarterly/annual revenue targets across Threatcop's product suite (TSAT, TLMS, TDMARC, TPIR) in both government and commercial segments
- Manage end-to-end sales cycles — from prospecting and discovery to demo, negotiation, and close
- Maintain a clean, forecast-accurate pipeline in CRM; use data to prioritize and accelerate deals.
Government Sales & Bidding -
- Lead identification, qualification, and pursuit of government tenders — central ministries, state IT departments, PSUs, and defence establishments.
- Own the full bid lifecycle: RFP/RFI analysis, technical and commercial bid preparation, L1 compliance, GeM portal submissions, and post-award account management.
- Navigate empanelment processes: STQC, DGS&D rate contracting, NICSI, NIC, and MeitY frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement rules — GFR 2017, CVC guidelines, and state-level procurement frameworks.
Customer Engagement
- Run tailored, value-driven product demos that speak directly to each buyer's risk profile and security maturity
- Build relationships across stakeholder levels — from CISOs and IT Secretaries to NIC officers and IT managers — to drive consensus and accelerate decisions
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding, strong adoption, and account growth post-sale
Market Development
- Monitor policy triggers (CERT-In mandates, DPDP Act, NIS frameworks) and convert them into active sales motions; engage key policy makers to shape people security management policy at the central/state government level.
- Build and activate a Channel Partner ecosystem to expand Threatcop's footprint across government, enterprise accounts, and strategic partnerships for government
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product on messaging, ICP refinement, and campaign alignment for the public sector
What You Bring:
Must Have
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity sales — non-negotiable; deep domain fluency across the threat landscape is essential
- Proven government / PSU / defence sales track record — demonstrated success closing deals in the public sector and managing complex procurement processes
- Tender & bidding expertise — hands-on experience with GeM, NIC/MeitY tenders, RFP/RFI responses, and L1 bid management
- Consultative selling expertise — strong discovery, solution storytelling, and negotiation skills tailored to security and government buyers
- AI tool proficiency — hands-on, day-to-day use of AI tools such as Claude /NotebookLM is required
Good to Have
- Experience selling SaaS security awareness, phishing simulation, or human risk management products
- Existing CISO / IT Secretary / NIC officer network in government bodies (DRDO, UIDAI, NPCI, state IT departments)
- Familiarity with CERT-In advisories, DPDP Act, and NIS/ISO 27001 compliance mandates
- Knowledge of DMARC / email security/phishing awareness domain
- Hindi or regional language fluency for stakeholder engagement in state government accounts
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, business, or public policy field
