Job Description

Role:Senior Business Development Manager – Retail

Location:Pan India (HQ-based / Hybrid)

Experience:8–12 years (minimum 4–5 years in Retail BD)

Role Objective

Own and grow the retail business by driving large enterprise accounts across grocery, fashion, QSR, electronics, and specialty retail—positioning hardware, software, and consumables as integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and executeretail GTM strategyfor modern trade and large retail chains
  • Acquire and managekey retail accounts(National & Regional chains)
  • Drive solution-led selling across:
  • POS & self-checkout
  • Barcode/RFID hardware
  • Retail software, kiosks, vision systems
  • Engage withCXOs, CIOs, Retail Ops Heads, Supply Chain Heads
  • Ownrevenue targets, pipeline forecasting, and closure
  • Lead large RFPs, pilots, and POCs; coordinate with pre-sales & delivery teams
  • Track competition, pricing trends, and emerging retail technologies
  • Mentor junior BD resources and influence internal retail strategy

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding ofIndian retail operations(store ops, DCs, supply chain)
  • Proven experience sellingenterprise solutions(not just products)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Financial acumen: deal structuring, margins, ROI justification
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability

Preferred Background

  • Experience with Retail Tech / AIDC / POS / Hardware + Software ecosystems
  • Prior exposure to working with large retail brands (Reliance, Tata, Aditya Birla, D-Mart, etc.)
