Head Hunter India is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives within the Aerospace & Defense sector. This pivotal role requires an individual with deep industry knowledge, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to forge strategic relationships with key OEMs and Tier 1 vendors globally.
Job Profile
The Senior Business Development Manager will be instrumental in:
- Understanding and appropriately positioning the company's aerospace and defense capabilities to potential clients.
- Developing a comprehensive short-term and long-term actionable business plan, complete with investment and resource requirements.
- Leading business development efforts from initial introduction to first revenue for the company's aerospace & defense market growth. This includes thorough market analysis, engaging with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, interacting with key industry suppliers, and achieving targeted annual sales and margin generation.
- Assuming the leadership position in contract negotiations, including terms and conditions of sale, between the company and its customers.
- Securing and enhancing the company's credibility in the local and global aerospace & defense market by developing strategic relationships with key aerospace OEMs, Tier 1s, and suppliers.
- Creating and executing custom strategies to ensure the company's position on approved supplier listings for Indian and global OEM/Tier 1 vendors.
- Collaborating closely with the company's Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement teams to ensure the successful delivery of end products to clients.
- Assisting Senior Management in the development, implementation, or advancement of organizational goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives derived from the business and strategic planning process.
- Encouraging strong cross-functional relationships by identifying teamwork opportunities and leading these activities to successful outcomes.
Skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Proven track record of business development or related commercial success.
- Strong technical skills related to the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain key relationships with Indian and global OEMs/Tier 1 vendors at operational and senior levels.
- Diverse knowledge in precision CNC machining, tooling, CAD/CAM, and the specific requirements of the aerospace and defense industry.
- Experience with Oracle and CAD/CAM is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry is required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within India and overseas is essential.
