The Senior Business Development Professional drives growth by acting as the strategic link between the organization and global insurance intermediaries and corporate partners, including Marsh and Willis Towers Watson. The role owns the full opportunity lifecycle - winning new high-value prospects and deepening broker relationships - while embedding the firm's solutions into broker placement strategies to remain the preferred choice for complex risk mandates.
Key Responsibilities· Proactively map and open new corporate-broking channels, prioritizing targets by market fit and revenue potential.
· Activate your senior-industry contact black book with personalized outreach and executive briefings to win high-value mandates.
· Run targeted prospecting campaigns—tailored presentations, value-case analytics, and pilot offer—to convert partners into preferred providers.
· Act as the single point of contact for brokers and TPAs, resolving escalations, answering complex queries, and enforcing relationship governance.
· Grow and retain partner portfolios via structured account plans, regular touchpoints, upsell/cross-sell plays, and a clear renewal playbook.
· Negotiate and structure commercial terms (commissions, overrides, fee-for-service, contingent profit-share) that align incentives and protect margins.
· Lead partner onboarding and compliance - licensing, system access, regulatory docs - and deliver technical training on products, risk appetite, and digital tools.
· Support operational delivery: assist with complex submissions, renewals and endorsements, and coordinate Underwriting, Claims, Sales, Compliance and Ops to remove bottlenecks and speed-to-close.
Required Experience & Skills· Industry Experience: 8–12 years of proven success in business development or relationship management within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
· Established Network: A robust, verifiable network of contacts with global brokers and large regional intermediaries.
· Negotiation Mastery: Exceptional ability to negotiate high-stakes commercial agreements and persuade senior-level stakeholders.
· Interpersonal Resilience: High energy and a hunter mindset with the resilience to consistently exceed aggressive revenue targets under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications· Master's Degree: MBA or master's in risk management is strongly preferred for Senior-level roles.
