Job Description – Senior Business Development Executive (Sr. BDE)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Senior Business Development Executive (Sr. BDE) with strong expertise in IT Services Sales, Resource Augmentation (IT Staffing), and Project-Based Business Development.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in end-to-end business development, including lead generation, prospecting, outreach, client meetings, requirement gathering, follow-ups, proposal coordination, negotiation, and deal closure.

This role requires a highly ownership-driven professional who can independently generate business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.

Salary Range: ₹6 LPA – ₹8 LPA (Based on Experience & Performance)

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Business Development

  • Own the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure
  • Identify, qualify, and acquire new business opportunities
  • Generate and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Build long-term client relationships and recurring business opportunities

2. Resource Augmentation / IT Staffing Business (Primary Focus)

Drive business opportunities for:

  • Dedicated Developers
  • Contract-Based Technical Resources
  • Monthly / Hourly Billing Resources
  • Offshore Development Teams
  • Remote Technical Staffing

Target Clients:

  • IT Companies
  • Software Development Agencies
  • Startups
  • Overseas Companies
  • Businesses with urgent technical hiring requirements

3. Project-Based Business Acquisition (Secondary Focus)

Generate opportunities for:

  • E-commerce Platforms
  • Marketplace Solutions
  • WordPress-Based Websites
  • Static & Dynamic Websites
  • Small to Mid-Scale Digital Projects

The candidate should be capable of identifying project opportunities and converting them into active business engagements.

4. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Generate leads through:

  • LinkedIn & LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Apollo, Lusha & Prospecting Tools
  • Cold Calling
  • Email Outreach
  • Networking & Referrals

Responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting relevant target companies
  • Identifying key decision-makers
  • Building outreach campaigns
  • Scheduling business meetings

5. Client Communication & Sales

  • Conduct discovery calls and business discussions
  • Understand client requirements and business pain points
  • Coordinate internally for proposals and commercials
  • Handle client follow-ups and negotiations
  • Convert prospects into paying clients

6. CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Update lead status, follow-ups, and meeting notes
  • Track sales pipeline and opportunity stages
  • Share regular sales and performance reports

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in IT Business Development
  • Proven experience in IT Staffing / Resource Augmentation / Software Services Sales
  • Strong experience in end-to-end B2B sales (Lead Generation to Closure)
  • Experience in client acquisition and revenue generation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of outbound sales and prospecting

Tools & Platforms Experience

Preferred experience with:

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Apollo
  • Lusha
  • CRM Tools
  • Cold Emailing Platforms

Compensation

Salary Range: ₹6 LPA – ₹8 LPA

(Depends on experience, skill set, and performance)

Important Note

This role is not limited to lead generation or appointment scheduling.

The selected candidate will be responsible for complete business development ownership, including:

Lead Generation → Prospecting → Outreach → Client Meetings → Requirement Understanding → Follow-ups → Proposal Coordination → Negotiation → Deal Closure
