Key Responsibilities
PreSales & Requirement Discovery
- Partner with Sales teams on qualified opportunities and conduct requirement-gathering discussions with clients.
- Understand client goals, challenges, constraints, and success criteria.
- Translate ambiguous problem statements into structured business and functional requirements.
- Define scope, assumptions, dependencies, and risks for proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to validate feasibility, technology choices, and solution complexity.
- Support effort estimation, proposal preparation, and contribute to client presentations, demos, and PoCs.
Solution Clarity & Documentation
- Develop clear and structured documentation, including requirement specifications, user stories, use cases, and high-level solution outlines.
- Set early expectations to prevent scope creep and misalignment.
- Ensure smooth handover from presales to delivery teams with well-organized artifacts.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and support to Business Analysts, Associate BAs, and interns.
- Review work from junior team members and offer constructive feedback.
- Take ownership of BA quality across multiple opportunities progressively.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to refining BA processes, templates, frameworks, and best practices.
- Bring a consulting mindset to client conversations and solution thinking.
- Gradually assume broader ownership of the Business Analysis function as the team grows.
