We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst Payments with API and Microservices to join our team, focusing on bridging business and technology for payment solutions in a dynamic environment.
This role requires deep expertise in payments, APIs and microservices, and direct collaboration with stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between development and business partners throughout the SDLC
- Work directly with client and business stakeholders for requirements elicitation, proposing feasible functional solutions, supporting acceptance testing, obtaining client buy-in and handling conflicts
- Collaborate with development stakeholders for requirements feasibility discussions, elaboration, ambiguity resolution, clarifications, test scenario and result reviews and conflict handling
- Document requirements of software systems and manage requirements with end-to-end traceability
- Utilize project/change management tools such as Jira, Rally ALM, TFS or ServiceNow for feature/epic description, user stories and acceptance criteria using Gherkin BDD approach
- Perform gap analysis of databases and document differences in business logic in mapping documents
- Run workshops with business users and summarize action items
- Drive Agile process and ceremonies, guiding teams to meet prescribed goals
- Write stories based on Sprint/PI goals
- Facilitate requirement gathering for data movement and needs
- Diagram complex processes to enable simpler discussions
- Gather requirements and information needed to establish a cloud environment
- Demonstrate experience in leading domains such as payments, open banking or retail banking
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, BRD and FRD
- Skills in stakeholder management, conflict handling and acting as a trusted advisor to business partners
- Knowledge of REST API, JSON and microservices architecture
- Background in payments, ISO20022 and retail banking
- Experience with SDLC projects and Agile frameworks such as SCRUM, Kanban, Scrum Ban or SAFe
- Familiarity with project/change management tools like Jira, Rally ALM, TFS or ServiceNow
- Understanding of requirements management with end-to-end traceability and Gherkin BDD approach
- Capability to perform gap analysis and document business logic differences
- Proficiency in running workshops, summarizing action items and facilitating requirement gathering for data movement and cloud environments
