About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving business transformation by analyzing past, present, and future trends across multiple functions. This position requires a blend of business acumen, analytical thinking, and domain expertise in Alternative Assets, Private Credit, and Private Equity Fund Operations.
You will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to design strategies, implement solutions, and ensure alignment between business needs and technology.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with clients and business partners to understand workflows, requirements, and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in Alternative Assets and Private Credit Markets to perform detailed business analysis.
- Conduct Current State vs. Future State assessments and define actionable solutions.
- Translate complex business problems into functional and digital solution requirements.
- Prioritize and manage multiple program components to achieve desired outcomes.
- Analyze and document existing workflows, system integrations, and interdependencies.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend innovative approaches.
- Bring Techno-Functional expertise to bridge business requirements with technical implementation.
- Perform data analysis using SQL and maintain strong understanding of database and data warehouse concepts.
- Support cross-functional team activities and ensure successful project delivery.
Domain Expertise (Mandatory)- Private Equity Fund Operations: Deep understanding of fund accounting cycles, deal lifecycles, compliance, and portfolio performance tracking.
- Alternative Investment Management: Expertise in private credit, investment strategies, and asset class understanding.
- Capital Markets: Proven understanding of Private Credit and Private Equity operations.
- End-to-End Fund Accounting Processes.
Candidate Profile- Experience: 815 years as a Business Analyst within Alternative Assets and Capital Markets.
- Education:
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in Finance, Business Analysis, or Technology preferred.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in SQL for data analysis.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as Investran (Fund Accounting), Semarchy (MDM), and Salesforce CRM.
- Working knowledge of ALM tools like JIRA, Rally, or Azure Boards.
- Experience in distributed Agile team environments.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage competing priorities independently.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in fund accounting and reporting.
