About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong Life Insurance domain expertise to join our team and support the transformation of core insurance platforms for clients in the Indian market and beyond.

You will work closely with Product Managers, architects, engineering teams and senior insurance stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into clear, scalable and testable functional specifications.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead requirements workshops with stakeholders across Product, New Business, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims, Operations and Actuarial.
• Analyse end-to-end Life Insurance processes and products, including Term, Endowment, Whole Life, ULIP, Annuity/Pension and Group Life.
• Define functional requirements across the policy lifecycle: illustration, proposal, underwriting, issuance, premium collection, servicing, lapse, revival, surrender, maturity and claims.
• Define and validate business rules for product configuration, premium calculation, underwriting, benefits, riders, charges and tax treatment.
• Own BA deliverables including BRDs, FRS, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and requirements traceability.
• Work with technology and QA teams to ensure requirements are correctly understood, implemented and tested; support SIT/UAT and defect resolutio.
• Apply knowledge of Indian Life Insurance regulations, incl. IRDAI, KYC/AML, and applicable tax requirements.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP, client discovery and pre-sales activities for Life Insurance engagements.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of Business Analysis experience, with 3+ years in Life Insurance.
• Strong understanding of Life Insurance products, policy lifecycle and insurance operations.
• Hands-on experience in one or more areas: Policy Administration, New Business, Underwriting, Product Configuration, Claims or Policy Servicing.
• Experience working with Indian insurers, bancassurance, agency or broker distribution channels related to Life insurance; experience in Health insurance is a plus.
• Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven track record of using AI tooling to enhance efficiency and quality of your work.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work effectively with distributed international teams.
