Job Description
Business Analyst
Location: Thane · Experience: 3–5 years in finance with ERP exposure ·
Qualification: MCom / MBA / BCom / Inter CA / Inter CMA
xxxx is an ICICI Bank-funded start-up building an enterprise tech platform that uses AI to automate finance and help business leaders mitigate risk.
We already serve leading brands such as DMart, BCG, NTT Data, Kaya, Wella and Ginger Hotels and are expanding fast among SMEs and start-ups in Manufacturing, Services and Retail.
The role
As a Business Analyst, you will sit between our clients and our development team. You will understand how a client's business, systems and data work, find the gaps, and turn them into solutions that improve the metrics their leadership cares about.
If you enjoy finance, data and business systems, and like seeing your work change how a company runs, this role is for you.
What you will do
- Understand the client. Learn each client's systems, data structures and business requirements, working directly with their finance and operations teams.
- Find the gaps. Identify missing, inconsistent or unused data, and design BI-driven solutions to close those gaps.
- Work with the team. Translate requirements into clear specifications for the back-end development and delivery team and stay close until the solution is live.
- Own delivery timelines. Plan and track tasks so every engagement is delivered on time and to quality.
- Report and document. Prepare progress reports and documentation for client and internal stakeholders.
- Move the numbers. Help clients improve their key performance metrics using the insights and automation we deliver.
What you must bring
- Qualification: MCom, MBA, BCom, Inter CA or Inter CMA.
- 3–5 years in the industry, with hands-on exposure to an ERP system and good working knowledge of Excel.
- Finance and data understanding: you know how transactions, ledgers and reports connect and can spot when the numbers don't add up.
- Strong client interaction: you can run requirement discussions with finance heads and operations teams and explain findings clearly.
- Clear communication in writing and in person, including reports and documentation.
- Ownership of timelines: you can manage several tasks and keep delivery on track.
Good to have
- Experience with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, MS Business Central or Tally.
- Working knowledge SQL and other BI Tools.
- Experience in a start-up or a client-facing consulting or implementation role.
This role is not for you if
- You prefer pure back-office work with little client interaction.
- You want to work only with data and not with the business problem behind it.
- You need a fixed routine; at a start-up, priorities shift as clients grow.
What we offer
- Work at the intersection of finance, data and business strategy, with real impact on client outcomes.
- Exposure to AI-led finance automation at a fast-growing company.
- Direct work with leadership and with leading brands across industries.
- A clear path to grow as BiCXO's client base and team expand.
