Project Description
The role sits in the Trade Management team focusing on the build out of the in-house strategic cross asset risk platform: SABRE, which is the bank's strategic platform for trade processing, valuation and market.
The role consists of designing and delivering solutions to the users of this platform with an initial focus on onboarding new products, driving enhancement solutions, planning project timelines, and working with multiple stakeholders such as users and developers to achieve desired outcomes.
As the main focus of the role is on the Trade Data Store (TDS2), experience in trade booking, lifecycling, and how a trade prices using static or market data is preferable. This would also require basic understanding of the financial products booked in the trades, with emphasis on FX (swaps, forwards, NDFs, etc.) and IR products (e.g. Repo and bonds).
The role will be required to provide third-level business support for issues in trade replication, and also project enhancements for Front Office traders requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with stakeholders from various project teams in Financial Markets, agree timelines and funding, manage governance requirements in close collaboration with technical development manager.
- Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Document actions from workshops and assist with tracking deliverables.
- Prepare Gap Analysis, Business Requirements Documents, and Project Approval Requests.
- Work closely with SME experts in various areas of the business, gaining an understanding of their processes.
- Document and raise Risks and Issues to Product Owners, Business Owners, and Program Management.
- Take part in project testing cycles and assist with preparation of test packs.
- Understand functionalities of current systems and processes, and provide requirements for system/process improvements.
Skills
Must Have
- 8–12 years experience with business analysis, solution design, and end-to-end delivery in the Financial Markets industry.
- Must have deep & strong experience in any one of the below (mandatory):
- Equities and Fixed Income
- Commodities (especially Precious & Base Metals)
- FX Options (expert in FXO strategies and structures)
- Reference Data (expert in building reference data systems and integrations with market data providers)
- Some technical background in analyzing or reviewing code changes would be preferable.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices.
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and display strong initiative.
- Meticulous and upkeep documentation of project artifacts, discussions, risks, functional specifications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent standard of English.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or PMP.
- Knowledge and previous experience of large-scale financial markets technology platforms.
