Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary/Overview:

Claight Corporation (Expert Market Research) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business objectives and IT solutions by analyzing processes, defining system requirements, and ensuring effective delivery of projects. This role demands strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, along with hands-on experience in requirements management, stakeholder collaboration, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business users, project managers, and IT teams to gather and understand business needs, objectives, and challenges.
• Process Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of existing systems, workflows, and processes to identify improvement opportunities and areas for automation.
• Requirements Elicitation: Use structured techniques like interviews, workshops, and document reviews to gather, document, and prioritize business and system requirements.
• Specifications Development: Create detailed functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process diagrams for development and QA teams.
• Validation & Testing Support: Work with QA teams to define test cases, review test results, and ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
• Project Risk Management: Identify risks, issues, and dependencies early and propose actionable mitigation plans.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend and drive process enhancements that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure effective implementation.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts to build their analytical and documentation skills.
• Agile & Waterfall Projects: Participate in both Agile sprints and traditional SDLC environments, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 6–10 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of SDLC and project management processes.
• Proficiency in elicitation, documentation, and modeling techniques.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Visio.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are highly desirable.
• Domain knowledge in Market Research, Consulting, or related industries is an advantage.
