About the Role:
As a Business System Analyst, you will serve as a critical bridge between business teams, application owners, and technical developers. You will dive deep into existing systems to understand how they operate, document their behaviour, and clearly communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your work will directly support large-scale data ingestion and cloud migration efforts, ensuring data integrity and accuracy every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, document, and explain existing systems to a wide range of stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear and accessible language.
- Conduct in-depth discussions with application owners to gain a thorough understanding of applications, their architecture, and underlying dataflows.
- Design and create detailed mapping and specification documents that guide Hadoop ingestion developers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform rigorous source-to-target data validation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of migrated data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify gaps, resolve discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement in data processes.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processing within a data warehouse environment.
- Hands-on experience contributing to Cloud migration projects, ideally in a large or complex enterprise setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and proficiency in SQL.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to engage confidently with both business and technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Hadoop and/or Azure Cloud technologies.
- Exposure to big data ecosystems and modern data platforms.
