The role will manage the planning, coordination & delivery of a data governance implementation projects across multiple streams and data domains. It will lead Data Governance artefact creation & attestation for key data elements (KDEs), key data outputs (KDOs) and Master and/or Authoritative sources (M/AS); providing Data Governance on-boarding/ training to Data Owners (business subject matter experts) The person will analyze & document data flows; publishing data definition, lineage & controls in divisional Data Governance platform (Collibra); while also ensuring compliance with Group Data Management Policies & Standards. The role will delivery against Data Governance plans/ roadmap, effectively communicating status and progress to senior stakeholders within Asset Management & the broader UBS Group (as required).

You'll be working within the Credit Suisse Data Office initially and working with the Data Governance Pod of the UBS Asset Management Chief Data Office (AM CDO) where this role will ultimately sit. You Offer

We look forward to working with someone who is data driven and passionate about all aspects of Data Management. You should have

  • a bachelor's degree and 8+ years of work experience, with at least 2-3 full years of working directly on Data Management initiatives
  • working knowledge and understanding of Data Governance principles, Master Data Management and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • an understanding of, and experience creating, Data Governance artefacts (such as Business Glossaries, Data Dictionaries, Business & Data Quality Rules, and Data Lineage)
  • an understanding of, and/or experience working with Data Quality Issue remediation
  • experience with senior stakeholder management, formalized communications and reporting, and project plan delivery
  • knowledge of Regulatory Data Management & Reporting, with familiarity of core regulatory drivers (Client Reporting, FINMA, CCAR, MiFID II, DFAST, Volcker, etc.)
  • ability to identify patterns in data and join/ map data across datasets with an understanding of database management; ensuring proper lineage is documented along the way (SQL skills are a plus)
  • strong documentation abilities, including strong Excel & PowerPoint skills, Visio flows, and mock-up creation
  • experience working in multiple business areas and exposure to consolidating data assets between areas to attain synergies (such as previously mentioned Data Governance Artifacts, KDEs, Master and/or Authoritative systems, Key Data Outputs, Business Processes)
  • experience working in a large Asset Manager, Hedge Fund, or large bank is preferred
  • general understanding of the financial services industry
  • experience with the Collibra data management platform is a plus
  • experience with Tableau dashboarding a plus
  • experience with Agile framework a plus
